Support

Kitlog keeps your photo and video gear, sessions, rentals and licenses in one place. No account, and the essentials work offline. Write to us if something doesn’t work or doesn’t add up.

My data is not on my new iPhone.

Kitlog syncs through your own iCloud, so the new iPhone must use the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on (Settings → [your name] → iCloud). Open Kitlog, give it a few minutes with internet and look at Profile → Privacy and security → iCloud sync: it shows “On”, “Syncing…” or what is wrong. “No internet” is not a problem, Kitlog simply waits.

Three things are set per iPhone and do not travel: license keys (enter them again), the app lock and notifications. The “Welcome back” screen is Kitlog recognising your data. The same applies to a second iPhone.

Reminders don’t arrive.

First check that reminders are turned on in Kitlog: Profile → Privacy and security → Notifications. The switch is set per iPhone; when it is off, Kitlog plans no reminders at all. Turning it on asks iOS for permission the first time, and if you declined earlier, Kitlog takes you to Settings instead.

Then check iOS: notifications must be allowed for Kitlog in Settings → Notifications → Kitlog. Also check Focus and Do Not Disturb.

Kitlog plans the reminders again whenever you open it, so open the app once after you change a setting. Reminders are only created for returns, renewals and dates that are still ahead. They also show up as a banner while Kitlog is open.

How does the Face ID / Touch ID lock work?

Turn it on in Profile → Privacy and security. It needs a passcode on the iPhone; without one the switch is greyed out. Kitlog locks when you leave it and unlocks with Face ID or Touch ID; if that fails, the iPhone passcode works too. With the lock on, widgets show no names or amounts, only counts, dates and times. The “Pack next” button in the Packing widget still works without unlocking Kitlog.

My widgets show old data.

Widgets are refreshed whenever Kitlog saves a change or you leave the app, but iOS decides how often a widget may update, so a short delay is normal. Open Kitlog, go back to the Home Screen and wait a moment. If a widget still looks old, remove it and add it again.

With the app lock on, widgets show no names or amounts, only counts, dates and times: this is on purpose.

How do the business card QR codes work?

In Profile → Share you choose what the card shows and what the QR code does. Each platform has its own code and every code opens one profile (for example your Instagram) as soon as it is scanned: no app and no saving needed.

The whole card option works differently: the code holds your contact, so the phone that scans it can add you to its contacts. Sending the whole card shares the contact file with the app you pick (Messages, Mail, AirDrop…).

Kitlog has no business card web page: nothing is uploaded to a server, and a code or file you have shared can’t be taken back.

My gear is not in the catalog.

The offline catalog holds more than 8,000 models and grows with every update, but it can’t have everything. In Gear → + choose “Add manually” and type the brand and model; it works just like a catalog entry. We would love to hear what is missing: write to us with the brand and model.

How do I change the currency? Amounts look odd.

Profile → Language and currency → Main currency. Changing it does not convert saved amounts: every amount stays in the currency you entered it in, and totals show your main currency first and the other currencies next to it. Kitlog never converts with exchange rates, because it works offline.

Can I use Kitlog in a different language than my iPhone’s?

Yes. Kitlog speaks English, Polish, German, French and Spanish, and the language is chosen in the app, independently of the iPhone: Profile → Language and currency → App language. Dates and amounts follow the chosen language.

How do I delete my data?

Profile → Delete all data: you see what will go, type the confirmation word and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Removal from iCloud and your other devices travels through sync and finishes shortly after the deletion, once the iPhone is online. Keep Kitlog installed and the iPhone online for a few minutes, and only then uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your iCloud copy. Details in the privacy policy.

Kitlog says it couldn’t open my data.

Nothing has been deleted or changed, and your iCloud copy is untouched. Tap Try again. If that doesn’t help, close Kitlog completely (swipe it up in the app switcher), restart the iPhone and open Kitlog again.

If it keeps happening, tap Copy error details on that screen and e-mail them to us. Please don’t delete the app before that: data stored only on this iPhone would go with it.

Which iPhones does Kitlog run on?

Any iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Kitlog is made for iPhone in portrait orientation.

Purchase and refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, and so are refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t see or refund App Store payments ourselves.

What about my privacy?

Kitlog collects no data: no account, no servers of ours, no analytics, no ads. Your data lives on your iPhone and in your private iCloud, which we can’t read. Read the full privacy policy.

I found a security problem.

Thank you. Write to security@quietcraftstudio.co and follow the steps on the security page. Please don’t publish details before we have had a chance to fix it.

Pomoc

Kitlog trzyma Twój sprzęt foto i wideo, sesje, wypożyczenia i licencje w jednym miejscu.

Włączenie go za pierwszym razem wywoła pytanie iOS o zgodę, a jeśli wcześniej jej odmówiono, Kitlog przeniesie Cię do Ustawień.

Sprawdź też tryby skupienia i „Nie przeszkadzać”.

Włączysz ją w Profil → Prywatność i bezpieczeństwo.

Jeśli widget nadal pokazuje stare dane, usuń go i dodaj ponownie.

Profil → Język i waluta → Waluta główna. Zmiana nie przelicza zapisanych kwot: każda kwota zostaje w walucie, w której ją wpisano, a sumy pokazują najpierw walutę główną, a obok inne waluty.

Jeśli to nie pomoże, zamknij Kitlog całkiem (przesuń go w górę w przełączniku aplikacji), uruchom ponownie iPhone’a i otwórz Kitlog jeszcze raz.

Zakup i zwrot pieniędzy

Meine Widgets zeigen alte Daten.

Kitlog erhebt keine Daten: kein Konto, keine eigenen Server, keine Analyse, keine Werbung.

Escríbenos si algo no funciona o no cuadra.

Perfil → Idioma y moneda → Moneda principal.
